Donald Trump is currently leading Kamala Harris among working-class voters, based on recent polls. This news isn’t just bad for Harris; it mirrors the situation Joe Biden faced before his own party pushed him out of the race. The poll results are quite believable as the working class has been significantly impacted by the policies of the Biden/Harris administration. It’s no surprise that these voters are seeking a drastic change.
Breitbart News reports that Trump is ahead of Harris by 17 points, with 56 percent to her 39 percent among non-college-educated voters. This data comes from a New York Times/Siena College poll conducted from September 3-6, 2024. Notably, this margin is identical to Trump’s lead over Biden in June, just before Biden’s political downfall following the June 27 debate.
Ruy Texiera, a Democrat political scientist and senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, highlighted this trend in the Liberal Patriot newsletter. He pointed out that Harris is performing worse than Biden did in 2020 with key sub-demographics of working-class voters, signaling significant trouble for Democrats.
And I told you this one as well. I said give it a few weeks and Cackles would be right where Rutabaga was. She is now at -17 with working class.
Right where Rutabaga was.

During Tuesday night’s debate, Kamala Harris repeatedly claimed to come from a working-class family. It’s clear why she emphasized this point. However, it seems unlikely to resonate with working-class people who are well aware of the impact that she and Biden have had on their lives and the country.
