Kamala Harris Retreats in Scramble to Defend Blue States
As former President Donald Trump gains momentum in blue states, Kamala Harris’s campaign seems to be shifting into defense mode. This comes after Harris failed to secure a post-convention bump, a phenomenon that most modern campaigns bank on.
In response, the campaign is deploying Harris and her top allies — including Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and husband Doug Emhoff — to blue states after a weekend of planned swing state visits.
On Wednesday, Harris reportedly plans to visit New Hampshire — where she currently holds a mere four-point lead, as per an Emerson College/WHDH survey conducted prior to the convention. Meanwhile, Walz will be holding fort in his home state of Minnesota. Interestingly, Trump has managed to narrow down Harris’s lead from ten to just five points since Walz joined the ticket, as per two KTSP/SurveyUSA polls.
