The PFLP is recognized as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by several countries including the U.S., Japan, Canada, and the European Union. During this conference, Tlaib ignited controversy with her comments condemning U.S.’s monetary aid for what she labeled an “apartheid government” and endorsing “ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.”
